Stu Webb has practiced family law exclusively for over twenty-five years. He is well grounded in Minnesota divorce law. Stu has a commitment to work with clients to achieve settlement of divorce issues.

Since 1990, Stu has practiced collaborative law exclusively--a type of representation whereby Stu agrees with his client that he will help the client work toward settlement of the divorce issues, without involving adversarial court appearances. Stu's commitment not to go to court means that his aim is the same as his client's--achieving successful dissolution resolution by the parties and their attorneys working cooperatively. Stu's commitment to settlement makes him an ideal attorney to work with a client, whether to coach the client in his/her direct negotiations with his/her spouse; to review agreements reached in mediation or; to work with the client, spouse and his/her lawyer to problem-solve issues without the threat of "going to court." In all cases Stu is prepared to draft the necessary documents to finalize the dissolution administratively.

Stu is one of forty collaborative lawyers practicing in the Minneapolis-St.Paul metropolitan area.

Stu is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, and state and local bar associations, the International Alliance of Holistic Lawyers and the Collaborative Law Institute. His interests include jazz, reading (almost anything) and backpacking.

In August of 2002, Stu was a recipient of the first annual "Lawyer as Problem Solvers Award" by the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association.

Tom Lynch has practiced as a lawyer with Miles & Stockbridge for 30 years. Tom heads the litigation group in Frederick
and has a very diversified litigation and alternative dispute resolution background. Since the mid-1980s, Tom has represented industry, large and small businesses, financial institutions and individuals on
environmental matters, including environmental litigation, compliance counseling, transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, and contract negotiation. Tom also is an experienced alternative dispute resolution practitioner. He has served as a neutral mediator appointed by the Courts or retained by private parties for more than 15 years. He also has acted as an arbitrator.

Tom Lynch is known for his very broad knowledge and experience on ethics issues. He has participated as a member of the Maryland State Bar Ethics Committee since 1989 and chaired the Committee in 1999-2000. As a result of this experience, Mr. Lynch was selected by the Maryland Court of Appeals to participate on a committee that rewrote the Maryland Rules of Professional Conduct in 2003. He was also selected by the Judges of the Circuit Court for Frederick County to serve as Frederick County’s representative on the Professionalism Task Force.
